COMPOSITION

COMPOSITION IN PHOTOGRAPHY

Composition in photography very important to photographer in practice their ability to take a picture. Composistion was a basic in photography that use for every photographer to use that guide to get a well balanced and interesting shots. The rules of third that one off composition in photography we can use through the viewfinder or in LCD that you use to frame your shot. The best composition is you are identities. Important parts of the image that you should consider placing point of interest in as you frame your image.

1.      1.Leading Line
Leading lines are lines within an image that leads the eye to another point in the image, or occasionally, out of the image. Anything with a definite line can be a leading line. Fences, bridges, even a shoreline can lead the eye. If can pair leading lines with a subject that is placed according to the rule of third your image should be very strong. Leading Lines are used to lure the eye deeper into a picture or to an important subject.  Straight, curved, parallel, or diagonal lines are all good at promoting interest.  Good examples could be roads, rivers, streams, bridges, branches, or fences but there are endless things that could be used.
Leads the eye from one part of the picture to another:from the foreground to the background, the secondary subject to the main subject
Vertical : dignity, height, grandeur and strength
Horizontal : repose, calm, tranquility and peacefulness
Diagonal : force, energy and motion
Curved : great beauty and charm

Example

  1. Shadow
Light and shadow create lines and shapes and negative space and all of the other principles apply to the shapes that they create. Light and shadow are compositional elements and all of the principles apply to them.

Example

  1. Silhouette
Silhouette is defined as an outline that appears dark against a light background.  More specifically, it is where your subject is seen as a black shape without detail against a brighter background.  This is an artistic outcome that many photographers like to perfect.  This effect can be achieved with any kind of bright light source, but of course the most commonly used is the sun around sunrise or sunset.  The backlighting from the sun shadows everything towards you and produces this effect.

Example

  1. Rule of Third
Rule of thirds is one of the most well-known rule of image composition. Rule of thirds is very easy to learn and adapt in practice. Often people place the main subject of the photograph into the middle of the frame. This only seldom yields to the best possible composition except if there is one clear subjects which is photographed very close. Of course there are exceptions to this.Rule of thirds suggests to place the subject off the center. Rule of thirds can also be adapted by forgetting the intersections and by thinking about the location of the lines. Horizontal lines are often good places for the horizon. This often yields to better results than placing the horizon into the middle of the frame.

1.           5.Repetitive Form
Repeated objects whether they’re lines or other objects can create patterns and add to the feel of our image. Repeated objects can form a line as well and lead the viewer into an image.
